Crankshaft Pulley: Removal

  1. Remove the accessory drive belt (8620). For additional information, refer to ACCESSORY DRIVE .
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  3. Remove the RH front wheel (1007).
  4. Remove the splash shield.
    • Remove the pin-type retainers.

  5. Remove the crankshaft pulley bolt.

  6. Disconnect the anti-lock brake wheel sensor connector.

  7. Position a safety stand under the front subframe.

  8. Lower the front subframe 50.8 mm (2 inches).
    • Remove the bolts.
    • Lower the subframe.

  9. Using the special tool, remove the crankshaft damper and pulley assembly (6316).
