  • The audio unit display is blank - audio unit operates

  • REMOVE the audio unit. REFER to AUDIO UNIT . SEND it to an authorized audio system repair facility. TEST the system for normal operation after the repair.
  • The audio unit/tape player display is blank - the audio unit/tape player operates

  • REMOVE the audio unit. REFER to AUDIO UNIT . SEND it to an authorized audio system repair facility. TEST the system for normal operation after the repair.
  • The cassette player only is inoperative - DM 100

  • REMOVE the audio unit. REFER to AUDIO UNIT . SEND it to an authorized audio system repair facility. TEST the system for normal operation after the repair.
  • During CD mode, the audio unit display shows NO CD
  • No CD found
  • NO CD is displayed when a CD is not found in a slot. REFER to the Owner Literature for audio system features.
  • One or more audio control buttons (such as volume, seek, tune and scan) is not functional in either radio, tape mode, or all modes - audio unit display functions correctly

  • The video system does not operate correctly - disc cannot be played ("Reading," "No Disc," or "The region coding of this disc does not match that of the player" displayed on screen.)

  • CHECK the disc for scratches, fingerprints, debris, or other damage.

  • CHECK the disc for a loose or peeling label.
   
  • CHECK the disc and make sure it is a region 1 disc.
   
  • INSTALL a known good disc and TEST the system for normal operation. If the concern is still present, INSTALL a new DVD player. REFER to DIGITAL VERSATILE DISC (DVD) PLAYER . TEST the system for normal operation.
  • The video system does not operate correctly - distorted picture, picture freezes, or skips

  • CHECK the disc for scratches, fingerprints, debris, or other damage.

  • CHECK the disc for a loose or peeling label.
   
  • INSTALL a known good disc and TEST the system for normal operation. If the concern is still present, INSTALL a new DVD player. REFER to DIGITAL VERSATILE DISC (DVD) PLAYER . TEST the system for normal operation.
  • The video system does not operate correctly - no picture

  • PRESS the source button (screen is blank in Auxiliary mode with no video source connected). TEST the system for normal operation. If the concern is still present, INSTALL a new DVD player. REFER to DIGITAL VERSATILE DISC (DVD) PLAYER . TEST the system for normal operation.
  • The video system doe not operate correctly - disc will not eject

  • PRESS the eject button on the DVD player if the remote has failed.
 
  • Digital versatile disc (DVD) player
  • If the disc does not eject, TURN the unit off and back on and retry. If the concern is still present, INSTALL a new DVD player. REFER to DIGITAL VERSATILE DISC (DVD) PLAYER . TEST the system for normal operation.
  • The video system does not operate correctly - no speaker audio (while operating the video system)
  • Circuitry
  • For no audio, PRESS the speaker button and increase the volume on the audio unit and the DVD player. If still no sound, PRESS the source button (no sound in Auxiliary mode without an audio device connected). TEST the system for normal operation.

  • If the concern is still present, turn the system off and then back on. TEST the system for normal operation.
   
  • The video system does not operate correctly - poor sound when using video system

  • CONNECT headphones to the system. If the sound from the headphones is the same as the vehicle audio unit system, INSTALL a new DVD player. REFER to DIGITAL VERSATILE DISC (DVD) PLAYER . TEST the system for normal operation.
