Removal And Installation

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to REMOVAL .
  2. Remove the bolt, the nut and the front support isolator damper.

  3. Remove the bolts and the upper timing belt cover.

  4. Loosen the water pump pulley bolts.
  5. Remove the drive belt. For additional information, refer to ACCESSORY DRIVE BELT .
  6. Remove the bolts and the water pump pulley (8509).

  7. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to JACKING & HOISTING .
  8. Remove the crankshaft pulley. For additional information, refer to CRANKSHAFT PULLEY .
  9. Remove the bolts and the lower timing belt cover.

  10. Remove the four bolts and the middle timing belt cover.

  11. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
