Rear Seat Backrest

  1. Remove the rear seat backrest. For additional information, refer to REAR SEAT .
  2. Disassemble the parts in the order listed in the following illustration and table.

    To remove individual parts, only carry out the listed steps:

    Left heated seat backrest element 3-6
    Right heated seat backrest element 9-11

  3. To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.

Item 4: 60 Percent Seat Backrest Trim Cover Disassembly Note 

    CAUTION: Use care when separating the seat upholstery from the hook and loop strip, or the hook and loop strip can be torn from the seat backrest foam pad.
  1. Separate the hook and loop fasteners.
  2. Remove and discard the hog rings.

Item 9: 40 Percent Seat Backrest Trim Cover Disassembly Note 

    CAUTION: Use care when separating the seat upholstery from the hook and loop strip, or the hook and loop strip can be torn from the seat backrest foam pad.
  1. Separate the hook and loop fasteners.
  2. Remove and discard the hog rings.
