PID/Data Monitor & Record

- PID/Data Monitor and Record option allows technician using New Generation Star (NGS) tester to read the state of several Parameter Identifications (PIDs) to aid in diagnosing the system.
- Connect NGS tester to Data Link Connector (DLC), located under instrument panel. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Select MODEL YEAR and VEHICLE. Select DIAGNOSTIC DATA LINK. Select RCM. Select DIAGNOSTIC TEST MODES. Select PID/DATA MONITOR AND RECORD. Record all PIDs that are to be retrieved and press START. PIDs are continuously updated on NGS display.
