Pinpoint Test B: Brake Pedal Position Input Circuit Failure

Test Step 

B1 CHECK CIRCUIT 15S-CF58 (GN/OG) FOR AN OPEN 

• Key in OFF position.
• Disconnect: Traction Control Module C135.
• Key ON position.
• Measure the voltage between the traction control module C135 pin 41, circuit 15S-CF58 (GN/OG), harness side and ground while pressing and releasing the brake pedal.

• Is the voltage greater than 10 volts with the brake pedal pressed, and zero volts with the brake pedal released? 

Result / Action to Take 

Yes 

INSTALL a new HCU. REFER to ANTI-LOCK CONTROL . CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. TEST the system for normal operation.

No 

REPAIR the circuit. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. TEST the system for normal operation.
