  • The shift control is out of correct gear relationship
  • Shift control component(s).
 
  • Internal transmission component(s).
  • The selector lever indicator does not correspond to the gear
  • Selector lever indicator adjustment.
  • CHECK that the selector lever indicator adjustment is correct. REFER to SELECTOR LEVER INDICATOR ADJUSTMENT . ADJUST the selector lever indicator if necessary. TEST the system for normal operation. If the condition persists, GO to PINPOINT TEST B .
  • The control linkage is binding
  • Shift control component(s).
 
  • Internal transmission component(s).
  • The gearshift lever (7210) will not shift from range
  • Shift control component(s).
 
  • Internal transmission component(s).
  • The selector lever indicator does not illuminate

  • Gearshift lever.
  • INSPECT the gearshift lever and shrouds for damage and incorrect installation. REPAIR as necessary. REFER to SELECTOR LEVER .

 
 
  • Steering column shrouds.
  • Water enters inside the vehicle
  • Shift cable rubber grommet.
  • SECURE the grommet to the bulkhead.
 
  • Torn shift cable rubber grommet.
