Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the radiator and cooling fan assembly. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .
  2. Remove the oil level indicator.
  3. Remove the oil level indicator tube bolt.
    • To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
  4. Remove the oil level indicator tube from the engine block.
    5. NOTE: Lubricate the new O-ring seal with clean engine oil.
  5. Remove and discard the oil indicator tube O-ring seal.
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
