Removal And Installation
CAUTION:
During engine repair procedures, cleanliness is extremely important. Any foreign material, including any material created while cleaning gasket surfaces that enters the oil passages, coolant passages or the oil pan, can cause engine failure.
- Remove the oil pan. For additional information, refer to Oil Pan Baffle .
- Remove the bolt and the oil pump.
- To install, tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft).
- Clean all the sealing surfaces.
- If an internal inspection is required, remove the oil pump cover. For additional information, refer to ENGINE SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION article for component testing.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
