NOTE: Use only MERCON® V Automatic Transmission Fluid. Use of any other transmission fluids may result in transmission failure. Normal maintenance: Transmission fluid change not necessary, filled for life. Severe duty maintenance: Change the transmission fluid at 48,000 km (30,000 mi) intervals.
NOTE: Approximate dry capacity, includes transmission fluid cooler and tubes. Fluid level procedures in this article should be used to determine actual transmission fluid requirements and transmission fluid specification. DO NOT OVERFILL. If it is necessary to add or change transmission fluid, use only transmission fluid which has been certified by the supplier as meeting the Ford Motor Company specification shown.
