The brake shift interlock system does not release/lock correctly	Circuitry Fuse 30 (10A) Brake Shift Interlock Actuator (BSIA) Brake Pedal Position (BPP) switch	Go To PINPOINT TEST A .
	Selector lever cable	VERIFY selector lever cable adjustment. REFER to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE ADJUSTMENT .
The shift control is out of correct gear relationship	Selector lever cable and bracket Selector lever cable retention to steering column bracket Selector lever linkage	Go To PINPOINT TEST B .
The selector lever indicator does not correspond to the gear	Selector lever cable bracket	TIGHTEN the selector lever cable bracket bolts securing the selector lever cable bracket.
	Selector lever cable loose from the selector lever cable bracket	VERIFY the selector lever cable is seated in the selector lever cable bracket.
The selector lever indicator (PRNDL) does not illuminate	Instrument Cluster (IC) malfunction	REFER to INSTRUMENTATION, MESSAGE CENTER, AND WARNING CHIMES article.
	Transmission Range (TR) sensor	VERIFY TR sensor adjustment. REFER to AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE/TRANSMISSION - 4R70E/4R75E article.
	Selector lever cable	VERIFY selector lever cable adjustment. REFER to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE ADJUSTMENT .
The Transmission Control Switch (TCS) or indicator lamp is not operating correctly	Fuse 79 (10A) TCS not cycled during self-test PCM IC Circuit(s)	Go To PINPOINT TEST C .
