  3. Install the harness pushpin into the BCM  .
  4. Connect the electrical connectors.
  5. Install the driver door scuff plate.
NOTE: If the BCM  was not replaced, this is the last step that is necessary.

    Vehicles without Intelligent Access (IA)

  6. Program the IKT  s (minimum of 2) into the new BCM  . For additional information, refer to Key Programming Using Diagnostic Equipment in ANTI-THEFT - PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS) .
  7. Carry out parameter reset between the BCM  and PCM. For additional information, refer to Parameter Reset ANTI-THEFT - PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS) .

    Vehicles with Intelligent Access (IA)

NOTE: If a new BCM  is installed, the ignition does not turn on until a parameter reset is performed between the BCM  and Remote Function Actuator (RFA) module.
  8. Carry out the parameter resets. For additional information, refer to Parameter Reset ANTI-THEFT - PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS) .
    1. Carry out the parameter reset between the BCM  and RFA  module.
    2. Turn the ignition ON.
    3. Carry out the parameter reset between the BCM  and PCM.
  9. Carry out the keyless entry keypad code reset. For additional information, refer to Keyless Entry Keypad Code Programming in HANDLES, LOCKS, LATCHES AND ENTRY SYSTEMS .

    All Vehicles

  10. Turn the ignition ON.
  11. Download the BCM  configuration information from the scan tool to the new BCM  . For additional information, refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION .
NOTE: Once the BCM  Programmable Module Installation (PMI) is complete, follow the scan tool on-screen instructions for performing the Configurable Engine Immobilizer (CEI) Lock Configuration.
  12. Train the tire pressure sensors. For additional information, refer to WHEELS & TIRES .
  13. NOTE: If the dome lamps are flashing after BCM  installation, it was not configured completely. Repeat steps  6 through 13.

Carry out the BCM  self-test to confirm all DTCs have been cleared.
