Pinpoint Test

  1. REVIEW THE Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)
    1. Review the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) from the Driver Seat Module (DSM) self-test.
      • Are Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) B106F and B1342 present? 
      • Yes:  CORRECT the cause of any other Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) present first. When other Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) are corrected, INSTALL a new Driver Seat Module (DSM). REFER to DRIVER SEAT MODULE (DSM) .
      • No:  GO to step 2 .
  2. REPAIR OTHER Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)
    1. Repair the cause of any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) present, other than Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) B106E. REFER to DTC CHART: DRIVER SEAT MODULE (DSM) .
    2. Clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
    3. Using a scan tool, perform the Driver Seat Module (DSM) self-test.
      • Is Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) B106E still present? 
      • Yes:  The fault causing the output state to be disabled is still present. REPAIR the cause of the concern.
      • No:  The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern was caused by a fault in one of the output circuits.
