Removal And Installation: Generator: Installation

  1. Install the generator and generator upper and lower bolts. Hand-tighten the bolts. Do not torque the bolt at this time.
  2. Install the generator stud bolt.
    • Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
  3. Install the generator nut.
    • Tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).
  4. Tighten the generator upper and lower bolts.
    • Tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).
  5. Attach the upper degas bottle hose to the fuel rail.
  6. Connect the generator electrical connector.
  7. Position the generator B+ terminal on the generator and install the nut.
    • Tighten the nut to 15 Nm (133 lb-in).
    • Install the generator B+ terminal protective cover.
  8. Install the accessory drive belt. For additional information, refer to ACCESSORY DRIVE .
