Reverse Clutch: Disassembly

  1. Remove the reverse clutch pressure, friction and steel plates.
    1. Remove the retaining ring.
    2. Remove the plates.

  2. Using the Clutch Spring Compressor, remove the reverse clutch piston return spring retainer ring and retainer.

  3. Remove the reverse clutch piston return spring.

  4. Remove the reverse clutch piston assembly.

  5. NOTE: If damage is found to the reverse clutch piston seals, install a new reverse clutch piston.

  6. Inspect the seal bore in drum, inner and outer seals.
