Main Control Valve Body: Installation

  1. Install the new separator plate and the 2 separator plate-to-solenoid body bolts.
    • Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

  2. Install the solenoid body onto the main control valve body. Install the 2 solenoid body-to-valve body bolts.
    • Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

  3. Position the OSS and TR sensor wiring harnesses aside and install the new main control-to-transaxle case separator plate.

  4. NOTE: Make sure that the manual lever pin (part of the TR sensor) is correctly installed in the manual valve.

  5. Install the main control assembly.
  6. NOTE: Make sure not to pinch the OSS or TR sensor wiring harnesses when installing the main control.
    NOTE: Install the short and long main control-to-transaxle case bolts in the locations noted during disassembly.
  7. Install the main control nut and the 22 main control-to-transaxle case bolts. Tighten in a crisscross pattern.
    • Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

  8. Connect the OSS sensor electrical connector.

  9. Connect the TR sensor electrical connector.

  10. Install the main control-to-cover seal.
