Pinpoint Test
- VERIFY THE CUSTOMER CONCERN
- Ignition ON.
- Verify there is an observable symptom present.
Is an observable symptom present?
- Yes: GO to 2 .
- No: The system is operating normally at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
- CHECK THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK
- Ignition ON.
- Using a scan tool, perform a network test.
Does the RCM pass the network test?
- Yes: GO to 3 .
- No: REFER to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE C : The Restraints Control Module (RCM) Does Not Respond To The Scan Tool.
- RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs
FROM THE C-CM
AND THE RCM SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the C-CM and the RCM self-tests.
Is DTC U3003:16 or DTC U3003:17 recorded?
- Yes: For the C-CM
, REFER to Diagnostic Routine Q: U3003:16 , or REFER to Diagnostic Routine R : U3003:17.
For the RCM, REFER to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE Y : U3003:16 and U3003:17.
- No: GO to 4 .
- RECHECK THE C-CM DTCs

NOTE: If new modules were installed prior to the DTC being set, the module configuration can be incorrectly set during the PMI or the PMI may not have been carried out.
Using a scan tool, clear the DTCs .
- Repeat the C-CM self-test.
Is DTC U0123:00 still present?
- Yes: GO to 5 .
- No: The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.

- CHECK FOR DTC U0123:00 OR DTC U0151:00 SET IN OTHER MODULES
- Using a scan tool, clear all DTCs .
- Ignition OFF.
- Using a scan tool, perform self-test.
- Ignition ON.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Retrieve the continuous memory DTCs from all modules.
Is DTC U0123:00 or DTC U0151:00 set in other modules?
- Yes: INSTALL a new RCM. REFER to RESTRAINTS CONTROL MODULE (RCM) .
- No: INSTALL a new C-CM . REFER to Cruise Control Module (C-CM) .
