Inspection and Verification

  1. Verify the customer concern by operating the system.
  2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical or electrical damage.
  3. If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct the cause before proceeding to the next step.
  4. If the concern is not visually evident, verify the symptom. GO to SYMPTOM CHART - EXTERNAL CONTROLS  or SYMPTOM CHART - NVH .

  • Smart Junction Box (SJB) fuse 5 (10A)
  • Battery Junction Box (BJB) fuse 47 (10A)

  • Wiring harness
  • Brake Pedal Position (BPP) switch
  • Brake Shift Interlock Actuator (BSIA)
  • SelectShift™ switch
  • Transmission Control Switch (TCS) (vehicles equipped with a 2.5L engine)

P0815 SelectShift™ Switch SelectShift™ Switch Output Circuit Failure The associated circuitry connected to the SelectShift™ switch or fuse, or the SelectShift™ switch itself may have an issue causing a fault. SelectShift™ operation is inoperative or does not operate correctly. GO to PINPOINT TEST C .
