Valve Stem Diameter

Measure the diameter of each intake and exhaust valve stem at the points shown. Verify the diameter is within specification.
- For additional information, refer to the specification chart in the appropriate engine procedure.
- If out of specification, install new components as necessary. Refer to ENGINE - 2.3L , ENGINE - 3.0L (2V) or ENGINE - 4.0L SINGLE OVERHEAD CAMSHAFT (SOHC) for the procedure.
