Wiper Linkage Assembly: Removal

NOTE: The hood is removed in this procedure for clarity.

  1. 1.

    Remove the cowl panel. Refer to: Cowl Panel .

  1. 2.

    Disconnect the windshield wiper motor electrical connector.

  1. 3.

    Remove the wiper linkage assembly bolts

    Torque

    : 71 lb.in (8 Nm)

  1. 4.

    Remove the wiper linkage assembly.

  1. 5.

    Remove the bolts and position the wiper linkage assembly aside.

  1. 6.

    NOTE: Be careful not to damage the link seals during removal. Failure to follow this instruction may result in poor windshield wiper performance.

    Detach the RH windshield wiper link from the windshield wiper motor crank.

    1. 1.

      Detach the link.

    1. 2.

      Position the link aside.

  1. 7.

    NOTE: Be careful not to damage the link seals during removal. Failure to follow this instruction may result in poor windshield wiper performance.

    Detach the LH windshield wiper link from the windshield wiper motor crank.

      Detach the link.

    1. 2.

      Position the aside.

  1. 8.

    Remove the windshield wiper motor bolts and motor clamp plates.

    Torque

    : 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

  1. 9.

    Remove the wiper linkage assembly from the windshield wiper motor.
