Engine Mount: Installation

  1. Clean the front cover engine mount stud holes with pressurized air to remove any foreign material.
  2. Install the engine mount and the 3 bolts.
    • Do not tighten the bolts at this time.
    3. NOTE: The thread sealer on the engine mount studs (including new engine mount studs if applicable) must be cleaned off with a wire brush and new Threadlock and Sealer applied prior to installing the engine mount studs. Failure to follow this procedure may result in damage to the engine mount studs or engine.
  3. Install the engine mount studs in the following sequence.
    1. Clean all the thread sealer from the engine mount studs (old and new studs).
    2. Apply new Threadlock and Sealer to the engine mount stud threads.
    3. Install the 4 engine mount studs.
      • Tighten to 20 Nm (177 lb-in).
  4. Tighten the 3 engine mount bolts to 90 Nm (66 lb-ft).
  5. Install the 4 engine mount nuts.
    • Tighten to 63 Nm (46 lb-ft).
  6. Install the engine mount brace, nut and bolt.
    • Tighten to 20 Nm (177 lb-in).
  7. Install the engine coolant degas bottle. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .
