Removal And Installation: Condenser: Removal

- 1.
Recover the refrigerant. Refer to: Air Conditioning (A/C) System Recovery, Evacuation and Charging .
- 2.
Remove the radiator grille. Refer to: Radiator Grille .
- 3.
Remove the air cleaner. 2.7L EcoBoost Refer to: AIR CLEANER . 3.5L Duratec Refer to: AIR CLEANER . 3.5L EcoBoost Refer to: AIR CLEANER . 5.0L 32V Ti-VCT Refer to: AIR CLEANER .
- 4.
Remove RH and LH radiator side air deflector pin-type retainers and the radiator side air deflectors.
- 5.NOTE: 5.0L transmission fluid auxiliary cooler shown, others similar.
If equipped with a transmission fluid auxiliary cooler, remove the retainers and position it aside.
Torque
: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)
- 6.NOTE: Make sure that all openings are sealed.
Remove the condenser inlet and outlet nuts and disconnect the fittings.
Torque
: 1: 71 lb.in (8 Nm) 2: 133 lb.in (15 Nm)
