Removal and Installation

If a new Heated Steering Wheel Module (HSWM) is being installed, connect the scan tool and upload the module configuration information from the HSWM. For additional information on configuration, refer to Programmable Module Installation (PMI) in MODULE CONFIGURATION .
Remove the glove compartment. For additional information, refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CONSOLE .
Remove the 2 Remote Function Actuator (RFA) bracket screws and position the RFA module and bracket aside.

Disconnect the HSWM electrical connector.
Remove the 3 HSWM screws and the HSWM.
- To install, tighten to 3 Nm (27 lb-in).
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

If a new HSWM was installed, it must be configured (using vehicle as-built data or module configuration information retrieved earlier in this procedure). For additional information on configuration, refer to PMI in MODULE CONFIGURATION .
