Cooling Module - 2.0L: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Drain the cooling system. Refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING .
Evacuate the A/C system:
For EATC system, refer to CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM - ELECTRONIC MANUAL TEMPERATURE CONTROL (EMTC) .

For DATC system, refer to CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM - DUAL AUTOMATIC TEMPERATURE CONTROL (DATC) .
Remove the fasteners and position aside the A/C lines.
Torque : 133 lb.in (15 Nm)
Disconnect the transmission fluid cooler coolant control valve electrical connector.
Detach the retainer and disconnect the coolant hose quick connect coupling.
NOTE: Cover the generator to prevent coolant contamination of the generator.

Completely cover the generator with waterproof plastic. Release the clamp and disconnect the coolant hose.

Release the clamp and disconnect the coolant hose.

Dosconnect the cooling fan motor electrical connector and detach the wiring retainer.
Disconnect the degas bottle coolant tube from the radiator.
NOTE: Some vehicles are equipped with a grille shutter assembly framework only. These vehicles will not have a grille shutter actuator or a grille shutter linkage.

Refer to: GRILLE SHUTTER ASSEMBLY .
Loosen the clamps and disconnect the CAC tubes.
Torque : 44 lb.in (5 Nm)
Disconnect the vapor tube quick release coupling and the electrical connector.
Pull the lower radiator hose spring clip until the end of the clip is in the detent on the quick connect coupling and disconnect the lower radiator hose.
If equipped.
Disconnect the wiring harness electrical connector.
Both sides.
Remove the bolts.

Torque : 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
Both sides.
Remove the bolts and the cooling module support arm.

Torque : 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
Remove the bolts and the cooling module.
Torque : 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
