Selector Lever Cable: Installation

- 1.
Position the selector lever cable to the engine compartment through the floor and install the selector lever cable to the passenger compartment. Install the nuts.Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)

Install the LH side console housing support bracket.Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

- 3.
Connect the selector lever cable to the selector lever assembly.

- 4.
Install the selector lever cable retainer.Torque: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)

Install the floor console. Refer to: Floor Console

Connect the selector lever cable retainer.

- 7.
Position the front floor exhaust system heat shield and install the nuts.

Position the exhaust pipe mounting bracket and install the bolts.Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

- 9.
Position the front floor exhaust system heat shield and install the nuts.

- 10.
Install the engine undershield and the retainers.

Position the selector lever in D.

Install the selector lever cable bracket bolt.Torque: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)

Rotate the manual lever clockwise until it stops.

Rotate the manual control lever counterclockwise 1 detent into D.

Unlock the adjuster.
- 1.
Slide the spring-loaded tab forward.
- 2.
Lift up the adjuster lock.

Connect the selector lever cable to the manual control lever.

Slide the adjuster tab in place to lock the selector lever cable.

Verify that the engine starts in P and N only and that the reverse lamps illuminate in R.
