Removal and Installation

  1. NOTE: If installing a new module, it is necessary to upload the module configuration information to the scan tool prior to removing the module. This information must be downloaded into the new module after installation.

    Upload the Audio Front Control Module (ACM) configuration to the scan tool by following the scan tool on-screen instructions.

  2. Remove the center instrument panel center finish panel. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CONSOLE .
  3. Remove the 2 ACM bolts and the ACM.
    • Disconnect the electrical connectors.
    • To install, tighten to 3 Nm (27 lb-in).

  4. Disconnect the antenna cable(s).
    1. Release locking tab.
    2. Remove connector(s).

  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Download the ACM configuration information from the scan tool to the new ACM following the scan tool on-screen instructions.
