Removal and Installation

  1. NOTE: If installing a new module, it is necessary to upload the module configuration information to the scan tool prior to removing the module. This information must be downloaded into the new module after installation.

    Upload the Front Control/Display Interface Module (FCDIM) configuration information to the scan tool by following the scan tool on-screen instructions.

  2. Remove the instrument panel upper trim panel.

  3. Remove the 2 screws and the FCDIM.
    • Disconnect the electrical connector.
    • To install, tighten to 1.5 Nm (14 lb-in).

  4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • If installing a new FCDIM, download the FCDIM configuration information from the scan tool to the new FCDIM following the scan tool on-screen instructions.
