Front Sliding Glass Panel Initialization

WARNING:
Keep objects and body parts clear of the glass panel when carrying out the initialization procedure. During the initialization procedure, the glass panel closes with high force and cannot detect objects in its path. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

NOTE:
The roof opening panel motor must be initialized when repairs are carried out on the roof opening panel system, including: any time the roof opening panel motor has been removed, the roof opening panel glass (fixed panoramic or front sliding) has been removed or adjusted, or if the roof opening panel frame has been removed.
NOTE:
If initializing both roof opening panel motors, initialize the front sliding glass motor before initializing the shield (sunshade).
A new front sliding glass panel motor will only move to the vent position and must be initialized
- 1.NOTE: The driver front door must be open during the entire procedure.
Open the driver front door.
- 3.NOTE: Complete the following within 5 seconds:
- 1.
Cycle the ignition to the OFF position and then back to the ON position.
- 2.
Press the sliding glass panel close switch for less than one second and release.
- 3.NOTE: When the sliding glass panel close switch is pressed and held, there should be an audible click from the switch within 3 seconds. The audible click indicates that the motor has accepted the request to initialize. If there is no audible click, the procedure must be repeated from step 1.
Press and hold the sliding glass panel close switch until the glass moves to the fully open and the back to the fully closed position (this could take up to 20 seconds to start).
