Front and rear sensors

Turn the ignition to the ON position, engine off.
NOTE:
The parking aid system will default to on when the ignition key is cycled from OFF to ON.
NOTE:
This system check should be carried out with the vehicle on a level surface.
NOTE:
The object used in this system check can be fabricated from 9 cm O.D. (3 in I.D.) plastic pipe, 100 cm (39 in) length (available as Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) pipe, or similar from a hardware or plumbing supply).

Verify that the parking aid system detects the object above when placed in the 5 specified locations (P1, P2, P3, P4 and P5).- If the PAM does not detect the object above, refer to Parking Aid Module (PAM) .
