Key Programming Using Diagnostic Equipment

Programming
NOTE:
IKT type of keys for non- PATS and PATS equipped vehicles look identical. On the OASIS tab, click on the Additional Information link and use the search function (Ctrl+F) to find IMMOBILIZER. Vehicles with "LESS ENG IMMOBILIZER THEFT SYS" are not equipped with a PATS. If not equipped with a PATS, refer to Handles, Locks, Latches And Entry Systems

NOTE:
If 8 keys are already programmed, this procedure does not allow any more PATS keys to be programmed without erasing all stored key codes first.

Insert the unprogrammed PATS key into the ignition lock cylinder and turn the ignition lock cylinder to RUN.
- 2.
From the diagnostic scan tool, enter TOOLBOX. Select Body>Security>PATS Functions and follow the on-screen instructions to enter the PATS security access.
