Selector Lever Assembly: Installation

  1. 1.

    Install the selector lever and the nuts.

    Torque

    : 80 lb.in (9 Nm)

    Attach the electric wiring harness.

    Connect the selector lever electrical connector.

    On both sides. Install the floor console support bracket and the bolts.

    Torque

    : 71 lb.in (8 Nm)

    Install the floor console support bracket nuts.

    Torque

    Connect the electrical connector.

    On both sides. Install the floor console bolts.

    Connect the selector lever cable retainer to the bracket.

    Install the selector lever cable bolt.

    Torque

    : 62 lb.in (7 Nm)

    Connect the selector lever cable to the selector lever assembly.

    Install the floor console support bracket and the bolts.

    NOTE: Anytime the parking brake switch electrical connector has been disconnected, the EPB system is deactivated and a DTC is stored in the ABS module. Perform the following step to restore the EPB system and clear the ABS module DTC.

    Apply and release the parking brake twice within 5 seconds, pausing with the switch in the N position for approximately one-half second between each apply and release.

    Adjust the selector lever cable when a new selector lever is installed. REFER to: Selector Lever Cable Adjustment .
