Selector Lever Assembly: Installation
- 1.
Install the selector lever and the nuts.Torque
: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)
- 2.
Attach the electric wiring harness.
- 3.
Connect the selector lever electrical connector.
- 4.
On both sides. Install the floor console support bracket and the bolts.Torque
: 71 lb.in (8 Nm)
- 5.
Install the floor console support bracket nuts.Torque
: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)
- 6.
Connect the electrical connector.
- 7.
On both sides. Install the floor console bolts.Torque
: 71 lb.in (8 Nm)
- 8.
On both sides. Install the floor console side trim panel.
- 9.
Connect the selector lever cable retainer to the bracket.
- 10.
Install the selector lever cable bolt.Torque
: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)
- 11.
Connect the selector lever cable to the selector lever assembly.
- 12.
Install the floor console support bracket and the bolts.Torque
: 35 lb.in (4 Nm)
- 13.
Connect the electrical connector, and install the selector lever bezel.
- 14.
Connect the electrical connector and install the floor console trim panel.
- 15.
Install the instrument panel center finish panel.
- 16.
Install the selector lever trim panel.
- 17.
Install the selector lever bezel.
- 18.
On both sides. Install the floor console upper finish panels.
- 19.
Close the floor console stowage bin lid.
- 20.
Release the parking brake.
- 21.NOTE: Anytime the parking brake switch electrical connector has been disconnected, the EPB system is deactivated and a DTC is stored in the ABS module. Perform the following step to restore the EPB system and clear the ABS module DTC.
Apply and release the parking brake twice within 5 seconds, pausing with the switch in the N position for approximately one-half second between each apply and release.

Adjust the selector lever cable when a new selector lever is installed. REFER to: Selector Lever Cable Adjustment .
