Front HALFSHAFT RH: Installation

- If equipped with AWD. Inspect for wear or damage.
- If equipped with FWD. Inspect for wear or damage.
- Inspect for wear or damage.
- If equipped with FWD, install a new halfshaft seal. Refer to: Halfshaft Seal RH - FWD .
- If equipped with AWD, install a new PTU seal. Refer to: Intermediate Shaft Seal .

NOTE: Insert the intermediate shaft until the intermediate shaft bearing is centered in the concave groove of the intermediate shaft bearing bracket.
Install the halfshaft.
- Install the new half shaft bearing strap and nuts.
Torque:Stage 1: Lower nut:: 44 lb.in (5 Nm) | Stage 2: Upper nut:: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm) | Stage 3: Lower nut:: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
- Using the special tool, install the half shaft into the wheel hub and bearing. Use Special Service Tool: 204-161 (T97P-1175-A) Installer, Halfshaft.
- Install the balljoint protector clip. Position the ball joint into the wheel knuckle and install the new balljoint bolt and nut.
Torque: 61 lb.ft (83 Nm)

NOTE: Only tighten the nut finger tight at this stage.
Install the new wheel hub nut hand tight only.
- Position the brake hose back and install the brake hose bolt.
Torque: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)
- Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL CHECK
- If equipped, install the underbody shield.

NOTE: Using a assistant to press the brake pedal, use hand tools only.
Tighten the wheel hub nut.
Torque:Stage 1: 59 lb.ft (80 Nm)Stage 2: 90°
