Check 

  1. Check the liftgate-to-body dimensions.

    1. Dimension

      : 0.2756 ±0.0591in (7 ±1.5mm)

    2. Dimension

      : 0.0591 ±0.0551in (1.5 ±1.4mm)

    3. Dimension

      : 0.1575 ±0.0787in (4 ±2mm)

    4. Dimension

      : 0.0787 ±0.0591in (2 ±1.5mm)

    5. Dimension

      : 0.2362 ±0.1575in (6 ±4mm)

Adjustment 

  1. NOTE: This step requires the aid of another technician.

    On both sides.

    1. Remove the clip.
    2. Position aside the liftgate strut.

    Loosen the bolts enough to permit movement of the liftgate. Loosen: 1 turn(s)

  4. Adjust the liftgate to specification.

  6. Tighten the liftgate striker bolts.

    Torque: 18 lb.ft (24 Nm)

  8. Check the area for paintwork damage and repair if necessary.

    1. Install the strut.
    2. Install the clip.

  2. Lower the headliner.
