Front Door Alignment

Inspection
- Check front door to body dimensions. Refer to: Body and Frame .
Adjustment

LH side shown, RH side similar.
All alignments
- Remove the bolts and the striker assembly.
Front door in and out, up and down alignment
- Loosen the bolts to permit movement of the door.
Torque
: 35 lb.ft (47 Nm)
- Adjust door to specification. Refer to: Body and Frame
.
Front door fore, aft and tilt alignment
- On driver side. Remove the front seat. Refer to: Front Seat .
- On driver side. Remove the driver knee airbag. Refer to: Driver Knee Airbag .
- On driver side. Remove the trim panel.
- On passenger side. Position the front door weatherstrip aside, release the clips and remove the instrument finish panel.
- On passenger side. Remove the retainers and the insulation panel.
- On passenger side. Open the glove compartment.
- On passenger side. Remove the screws, disconnect the electrical connector and remove the glove compartment.

Loosen the nut to permit movement of the door.
Torque
: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)
- Remove the fender splash shield. Refer to: Fender Splash Shield .
- Remove the fender baffle.

Loosen the bolts to permit movement of the door.
Torque
: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)

Loosen the bolts to permit movement of the door.
Torque
: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)

Adjust door to specification. Refer to: Body and Frame .
All alignments
- Install the striker assembly.
Torque
: 177 lb.in (20 Nm)
- Check body to front door dimensions. Refer to: Body and Frame .
- Install the removed components.
