Selector Lever Mechanism: Removal

1. NOTE: To access the top selector lever mechanism bolts, position the selector lever in N before removing the selector lever.

   Remove the selector lever assembly. Refer to: Selector Lever Assembly .

2. Disconnect the brake shift interlock actuator electrical connector.

3. NOTE: Do not pull or pry on the selector lever cable or the selector lever cable end may be damaged. Use a screwdriver and turn the screwdriver as shown in illustration to pry the cable end off the post as close to the post as possible.

   Using a screwdriver, pry the selector lever cable end from the selector lever mechanism.

4. Remove and discard the bolts and remove the selector lever mechanism.

   Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
