Front Toe Adjustment

Adjustment 

NOTE: Make sure that the vehicle is standing on a level surface.
  1. Steering wheel in straight ahead position. Use the General Equipment: Steering Wheel Holder

  2. Using alignment equipment and the manufacturer's instructions, check the front toe setting on both sides. Use the General Equipment: Wheel Alignment System
    1. On both sides. Loosen the tie rod end jamb nut.

      Torque: 46 lb.ft (63 Nm)

    2. On both sides. Position aside the steering gear boot clamp.
    3. NOTE: Do not allow the steering gear bellows to twist when the inner tie rod is rotated.

      On both sides. Rotate the inner tie rod until the toe reading is within specifications.

  3. Recheck the toe settings and adjust as necessary.
