Power Roof Opening Panel Initialization

Initialization 

NOTE: Until the initialization procedure is complete, the one-touch open and one-touch close function is disabled.
NOTE: An initialization procedure that was interrupted or not completed can be started again after cycling the ignition from ON to OFF and back to ON again.
  1. An initialization procedure that was interrupted at the hard stop can be started again by manually moving the roof opening panel approximately 2 inches towards the full CLOSED position. Refer to: Roof Opening Panel Manual Closing .
  2. Place the ignition switch in the RUN position. For initializing an existing roof opening panel motor, skip to Step 6.
  3. For a new roof opening panel motor, press and hold the front portion of the control switch until the roof opening panel glass moves slightly past the full VENT position (approximately 2 mm (0.0787 in)) and returns to the full VENT position.
  4. Quickly (within 0.5 second) release, then press and hold the front portion of the control switch while the roof opening panel glass move to the full OPEN position and then back to the full CLOSED position.
  5. Release the switch and verify successful initialization by performing one-touch OPEN and one-touch CLOSE operations.
  6. For an existing roof opening panel motor, press and hold the front portion of control switch until the roof opening panel glass moves to fully CLOSED position and then release the switch.
  7. Press and hold the front portion of the control switch for approximately 10 seconds until the roof opening panel glass moves slightly past the full VENT position (approximately 2 mm (0.0787 in)) and returns to the full VENT position.
  8. Quickly (within 0.5 second) release, then press and hold the front portion of the control switch while the roof opening panel glass moves to the full OPEN position and then back to the full CLOSED position (movement will start approximately 5 seconds after the switch is pressed).
  9. Release the switch and verify successful initialization by performing one-touch OPEN and one-touch CLOSE operations.
