Front Door Alignment

Inspection 

NOTE: LH side shown, RH side similar.
  1. Check the body-to-front door dimensions. Refer to: Body and Frame .

Adjustment 

All alignments 

  1. Open the front door.

  2. Remove the bolts and the striker assembly.

    Front door in and out, up and down alignment 

  3. Loosen the bolts enough to permit movement of the door.

  4. Adjust the door to specification. Refer to: Body and Frame .

  5. Tighten the bolts.

    Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

    Front door fore, aft and tilt alignment 

  6. Loosen the bolts enough to permit movement of the door.

  7. Carefully close the door.

  8. Adjust the door to specification. Refer to: Body and Frame .

  9. Carefully open the door.

  10. Tighten the bolts.

    Torque: 26 lb.ft (35 Nm)

  11. Install the striker assembly and the bolts.

    Torque: 177 lb.in (20 Nm)
