Check
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- Remove the RDU fluid filling plug.
- If empty, fill the rear axle with clean RDU fluid. If fluid level is low, fill to the bottom of the filler hole. Refer to: Specifications

Material: Motorcraft® Disconnect Rear Drive Unit Fluid / XY-75W-QL
- Install the RDU fluid filling plug.
Torque: 21 lb.ft (29 Nm)
