NOTE: Do not torque the 4 ring gear bolts.
Hand-start 4 new ring gear bolts to align the holes in the ring gear and the differential case. Evenly tighten the bolts to seat the ring gear onto the differential case.

NOTE: Tighten all 16 bolts in 2 stages.
Install the remaining new differential ring gear bolts and tighten all bolts.
Torque:Stage 1: 24 lb.ft (33 Nm) Stage 2: 60 deg.
- If the bearings were removed, install new bearings. Use Special Service Tool: 307-587 Differential bearing installer and guide., 307-791 Install, Differential Bearing (AWD).Use the General Equipment: Hydraulic Press
