Front Door Alignment

Inspection

LH side shown, RH side similar.
- Inspect the front door-to-body dimensions. Refer to: Body and Frame .
Adjustment
All alignments
- Open the door.
- Remove the bolts and the striker assembly.
Torque: 17 lb.ft (22.5 Nm)
Front door in and out, up and down alignment
- Loosen the bolts to permit movement of the door. Loosen: : 2 turn(s)
- Adjust the door to specification. Refer to: Body and Frame
.
- Tighten the bolts.
Torque: 41 lb.ft (55 Nm)
Front door fore, aft and tilt alignment
- Disconnect the front door electrical connector.
- Loosen the bolts to permit movement of the door. Loosen: : 2 turn(s)
- Carefully close the door.
- Adjust the door to specification. Refer to: Body and Frame
.
- Carefully open the door.
- Tighten the bolts.
Torque: 1.: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm) 2.: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
- Connect the front door electrical connector.
All alignments
- Install the striker assembly.
Torque: 17 lb.ft (22.5 Nm)
- Loosen the bolts to permit movement of the striker assembly. Loosen: : 2 turn(s)
- Tighten the bolts.
Torque: 17 lb.ft (22.5 Nm)
- Inspect the body-to-front door dimensions. Refer to: Body and Frame .
