Selector Lever Mechanism: Removal

NOTE: To access the top selector mechanism bolts, position the selector lever in N before removing the selector lever.
Remove the selector lever. Refer to: Selector Lever .
- Disconnect the brake shift interlock actuator electrical connector.
- Remove the selector lever cable retainer bolt.
Torque: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)

NOTE: Do not pull or pry on the selector lever cable or the selector lever cable end may be damaged. Use a screwdriver and turn the screwdriver as shown to pry the cable end off the post as close to the post as possible.
Using a screwdriver, pry the selector lever cable end from the selector lever mechanism and disconnect the cable retainer from the steering column.
- Remove and discard the bolts and remove the selector lever mechanism.
Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
