Ignition Coil-On-Plug: Installation

Both sides 

  1. Inspect the ignition coil-on-plug assembly for cracks, rips or tears. Replace any damaged coil-on-plug assembly's.

    Right side 

  2. Install the ignition coil-on-plugs, then install and tighten the ignition coil-on-plug studbolts.

    Torque

    : 53 lb.in (6 Nm)

  3. Connect the ignition coil-on-plug electrical connectors.

  4. Attach the wire harness retainers to the studbolts.

  5. Install the air cleaner outlet pipe RH. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe RH
  6. Install the crankcase ventilation hose and then connect the quick release couplings. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling

    Left side 

  7. Install the ignition coil-on-plugs, then install and tighten the ignition coil-on-plug studbolts.

    Torque

    : 53 lb.in (6 Nm)

  8. Connect the ignition coil-on-plug electrical connectors. Attach the electrical harness retainers to the ignition coil-on-plug studbolts.

  9. Connect the quick release couplings. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling

    Both sides 

  10. Install the engine appearance cover, then install and tighten the engine appearance cover retainers.

    Torque

    : 1: 42 lb.in (4.8 Nm) 2: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)
