Front Door Alignment: Adjustment
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
NOTE:
LH side shown in illustration, RH side similar.
All alignments
- Open the door.
- Remove the bolts and the striker assembly.
Front door in and out, up and down alignment
- Loosen the bolts to permit movement of the door.
Loosen: : 2 turn(s)
- Adjust door to specification.
- Tighten the bolts.
Torque
: 35 lb.ft (48 Nm)
Front door fore, aft and tilt alignment
- On driver side. Release the clips and remove the LH instrument panel end cap.
Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
- On driver side. Release the clips and remove the LH instrument panel end cap.
- On driver side. 1.Release the clips and remove the LH trim panel. Disconnect the electrical connector.
- On passenger side. Position the front door weatherstrip aside, release the clips and remove the instrument finish panel.
Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
- On passenger side. Release the clips and remove the RH instrument panel end cap.
- On passenger side.
- Release the stop and fully lower the glove compartment.
- Remove the glove compartment check strap.
- On passenger side. Lift the glove compartment off the hinges remove.

- Loosen the bolts to permit movement of the door.
Loosen: : 2 turn(s)
- Loosen the nut and washer to permit movement of the door.
Loosen: : 2 turn(s)
- Loosen the bolts to permit movement of the door.
- Carefully close the door.
- Adjust the door as required.
- Carefully open the door.

- Tighten the fastener.
Torque
: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)
- Tighten the fasteners.
Torque
: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)
All alignments
- Tighten the fastener.
- Install the striker assembly.
- Loosen the bolts to permit movement of the striker assembly.
Loosen: : 2 turn(s)
- Tighten the fasteners.
Torque
: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
- Inspect the body-to-front door dimensions.
