Throttle Body: Installation

NOTE: Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.
  1. Inspect the turbocharger or engine air intake system components and clean, if necessary.
  2. Inspect the throttle body gasket, clean and replace the throttle body gasket as needed.

  3. Install the throttle body, then install and tighten the throttle body bolts in the following 2 stages.

    Torque

    : Stage 1: Tighten to: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

    Stage 2: Tighten an additional: 90°

  4. NOTE: When connecting the throttle body electrical connector engage the red connector locking tab after fully installing the throttle body electrical connector. The red tab will not slide forward unless the throttle body electrical connector is fully installed.

    Connect the throttle body electrical connector.

    1. Install the throttle body inlet pipe, then tighten the throttle body inlet pipe clamp.

      Torque

      : 44 lb.in (5.0 Nm)

    2. Connect the quick release coupling. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .

  5. Connect the charge air cooler outlet pipe. Ensure that the clip is fully engaged, test the connection by pulling.

  6. Install the air cleaner outlet pipe RH. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe RH .
