Rear Wheel Speed Sensor: Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
  2. On both sides. Using compressed air, clean the area surrounding the rear wheel speed sensor.

    1. On both sides. Remove the rear wheel speed sensor bolt and detach the sensor.

      Torque

      : 133 lb.in (15 Nm)

    2. On both sides. Detach the harness retainer.
    3. On both sides. Disconnect the parking brake actuator motor electrical connector.

  3. Detach the harness retainers from the rear axle.

  4. Disconnect the EPB and rear wheel speed sensor electrical connectors.

  5. Detach the EPB and rear wheel speed sensor electrical connector retainers.

  6. Detach the harness.

    1. Disconnect the rear differential electrical connector.
    2. Push the locking tab up and detach the harness routing bracket.
    3. Detach the harness retainer and remove the rear wheel speed sensor and EPB harness assembly.
