Pinpoint Test Cm: Abs Module Communication Concern With HEV Pcm
Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
The HEVPCM may also be known as the SOBDM or the ICS module.
With the ignition ON, the SOBDM sends messages to the ABS module over the FD-CAN. If the ABS module does not receive these messages within the allotted time frame or if the messages contain invalid data, the module sets a DTC. This can be due to a SOBDM failure, a circuit failure on the network or an excessive load on the network. For information on the messages sent to the ABS module by the SOBDM, refer to Network Message Chart in the service information.
DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
| DTC | Description | Fault Trigger Condition |
|---|---|---|
| ABS U0293:00 | Lost Communication With Hybrid/EV Powertrain Control Module "A": No Sub Type Information | This DTC sets when the ABS module does not receive any messages from the SOBDM within the allowed time. |
| ABS U0594:00 | Invalid Data Received From Hybrid/EV Powertrain Control Module "A": No Sub Type Information | This DTC sets when the ABS module receives invalid data in any of the following SOBDM; ambient air temperature, AWD status, cruise control status, transmission gear position, selectable drive mode status, and transmission auto park status. |
| ABS U0594:64 | Invalid Data Received From Hybrid/EV Powertrain Control Module "A": Signal Plausibility Failure | This DTC sets when the ABS module receives invalid data in the SOBDM driven wheel direction message. |
