Differential Fluid Level Check

Materials 

Check 

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
2. Remove the RDU fluid filling plug.

3. If empty, fill the rear axle with clean RDU fluid. If fluid level is low, fill to the bottom of the filler hole. Refer to: Specifications .

   Material: Motorcraft® Disconnect Rear Drive Unit Fluid / XY-75W-QL

4. Install the RDU fluid filling plug.

   Torque: 21 lb.ft (29 Nm)
