Throttle Body: Installation

  1. Inspect the throttle body gasket, clean or replace as needed. Clean the mating surfaces.

  2. Install the throttle body, then install and tighten the throttle body bolts in the sequence shown.

    Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

  3. NOTE: When connecting the throttle body electrical connector engage the red connector locking tab after fully installing the throttle body electrical connector. The red tab will not slide forward unless the throttle body electrical connector is fully installed.

    Connect the throttle body electrical connector. Attach the throttle body wire retainer.

    1. NOTE: When installing the throttle body inlet tube, make sure that the throttle body inlet tube is seated against the hose stops.

      Install the throttle body inlet tube, then tighten the throttle body inlet tube clamp.

    2. Connect the quick release coupling. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .

      Torque: 44 lb.in (5.0 Nm)

  4. Install the air conditioning compressor, the stud and the bolts.

    Torque: 1. Tighten the stud to: : 80 lb.in (9 Nm) 2. Tighten the bolt to: : 18 lb.ft (25 Nm) 3. Tighten the bolt to: : 18 lb.ft (25 Nm) 4. Install hose bracket, then install and tighten the nut to: : 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

  5. Connect the electrical connectors. Attach the wire harness retainers.

  6. Install the air conditioning compressor belt. Refer to: Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor Belt .
  7. Install the front underbody shield, then install and tighten bolts and the retainers.

  8. Road test the vehicle.
