NOTE:
Regeneration may occur during normal operation. During regeneration, diagnostic procedures may display biased values. If a regeneration occurs during diagnostic procedures, allow the process to complete before continuing diagnostics.

Visual Inspection and Pre-checks
- Reprogram or update the calibration. Reprogram the vehicle identification vehicle identification block. Check for other Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) or drive symptoms for further action. Make sure to check for aftermarket performance products before installing a new PCM. If it is necessary to install a new PCM, refer to the appropriate procedure in REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
